Day 1

Katsura Kiwis arrived in Auckland in the early morning. We were greeted with New Zealand sunshine and an easy van ride to the sky city hotel.   After a quick refreshing shower we headed to the sky tower ro see  the 360° view of the city. We had a New Zealand luncheon at the top and we posted our photos. The views from the highest point of Auckland were spectacular, we were amazed at all of the kiwi landscapes.

In the afternoon we went on a city tour with Daniel, our kiwi tour guide. We enjoyed beautiful vistas, volcanic mountain tops, beaches, nude bathers, botanical gardens, and tasty kiwi snacks including Manuka honey and kiwi juice.

 Then and now. 35 years, seems like yesterday.

In the evening we joined our kiwi friends for dinner at Monsoon Poon. We met up with Michelle and two of her children, Alex and Zoe. Also joining us were Jana and Mike. Food, drinks, and company were all fantastic!
